Jenkins Surrenders!

After years of focusing on improving his Scrabble (TM) abilities, Nick Jenkins finally waved the white flag of surrender after a 447 - 281 drubbing at the hands of Norman. Since the Jenkins' family move to the Laurelhurst neighborhood in late 2008, there have been regular Test Matches between Norman and Nick, with Norman routinely claiming victory. Although Nick had a three match winning streak during late winter, that feat has never been duplicated.
After Norman played 3 Bingos during their May 12 match, the recently turned 40 Jenkins announced that he had had enough and he would bow out of competitive Scrabble against Cheuk. "When your competitor is able to play diverse Bingos with words such as REASONS, AMORTIZE, and TOOTSIE, you simply have to ask yourself whether you can compete at this high level" commented Nick. While Nick is down and out for now, we all know that his competitive spirit will not allow him to give up so easily.
